If your stopped and you don’t have your drivers license on you the police have right to arrest you and tow your car if they want. It doesn’t mean they will but they can. There is nothing wrong with enforcing these immigration laws.

p.s. this is not only an immigration issue; it is one of safety as well. mexican drug dealers are coming over the border to sell their wares. many u.s. citizens have been shot at and even killed by these thugs. i would imagine if this were going on in your own backyard you would expect some assistance. it is the duty and responsibility of any gov’t to protect it’s borders and citizens. there is a saying that goes “if you don’t stand for something you’ll fall for anything.”
okay. well then why have any laws at all? laws just oppress people, right? maybe we should just adopt an “anything goes” policy? newsflash! this is OUR country and it does not belong to mexico! and i’ll tell you something else, if we do not protect our country and our citizens then we shall be left with no country at all! no one is saying that people cannot come to this land of opportunity…we are only asking that they respect our country by doing so legally by following the proper procedures.
Thanks for the sane and rational approach you take. It’s not Mexico that’s at fault. It’s not Mexicans that are at fault. We don’t need a fence or to continue to militarize the border. What’s wrong is US Immigration Law. People who come here illegally do so because the law provides no way for them to come legally. The Arizona law is a desperate yet fatally flawed attempt to take the law into their own hands. Unfortunately, though, they’re just painting themselves into an unconstitutional corner.

EVERYONE listen up. the state law is identical to the federal law which the feds refuse to enforce.the only difference is that it says state instead of federal and arizona instead of the united states.but oh no it has to be racist if its lawful. why do people from the left cry racism when they have nothing to bring to the table. everyone needs to look past the fake left-right paradigm.this has nothing to do with racism.its about states rights, the 9th and 10th amendment gives states these rights
This is a great video. We definitely have the capacity to help illegal immigrants through social programs and immigration reform. We need to stop treating illegal immigrants like criminals and instead treat them like equals. We’re all human. We can help each other.

a desperate disease calls for a desperate remedy. yes its uncostitutional but we have not followed the constitution for a very long time. this law is pretty mild compared to the patriot act, these obscene, unconstitutional wars, ect. ect. ect.states are desperate and D.C. refuses to carry out its constitutional responsibilities. this is the future. our federal government couldn’t stop a state anyway with the national guard fighting these dumn wars
Before applying such kind of laws there should be some kind of path to legalize those who deserve it, there are millions of them and they are as Americans as you or me. Not doing that is simply cruel an immoral, and it clearly reminds us of Hitler’s times.

Also, it has been estimated that 60% of the people in Arizona have Spannish surnames, regardless of race or ethnicity. Which usually implies either an ILLEGAL or a naturalized citizen or their decendants. With this in mind you could repratriate naturalized citizens and illegals alike using a completey RANDOM METHOD of selection and your chances of being correct are much greater than 50 percent. Since your are a beeg time professor, I assume you understand math. So, in Arizona, ILLEGALS constitute more than 50 percent of the Latinos and Hispanics. So if a Soccer Mom, gives a ride to a Latino or Hispanic, the probability that she is breaking the law is also greater than 50 percent. Given this fact, wouldn’t it be better to advise you viewers to just not give rides to Latinos and Hispanics.
The law MIRRORS Federal law! Therefore, sb1070 merely serves to codify EXISTING immigration laws at the Federal level INTO State laws at the local level. This gives trained police officers and sheriffs deputies the option to enforce immigration where the fed has abdicated! Essentially, the law is not new in any way except that it is more likely to be enforced now that the State has taken action. That’s why liberals are playing the race card bc they don’t want to enforce immigration law.
